Highlights

Awarded the Duke Lifesaver Award to Bubba Pu’u for a youth who performed a lifesaving act in the ocean.

Helped publish the first Hawaii Water Safety Plan, the second state in the nation to do so.

Advocated for surfing to become a varsity sport in Hawaii high schools; $1,371,740 allocated by state legislature to support public high school surf teams for two years.

Engaged in internal strategic planning.

Completed design phase of the Duke Kahanamoku License Plate.
