WE ARE DEEPLY GRATEFUL for every gift from our donors. Your generosity honors Duke Kahanamoku's legacy of aloha and sportsmanship, touching the lives of Hawaiʻi's student-athletes, watermen and waterwomen, and keiki learning to be safe in, on, and around the water. Your commitment to the Foundation shows your belief in our mission to further education, perpetuate the spirit of competition, and ensure that Duke's values of grace, integrity, and giving back continue to inspire future generations. Mahalo for making this possible.

Wow, I’m so grateful and honored to receive this generous scholarship award. Thank you to the ODKF team for believing in me and supporting the work I’ve been doing in the community. This means so much to me and my ʻohana. Truly, mahalo piha!
Mahalo for the generous support through this sports grant! It will truly help our keiki prepare for the Summer 2025 regatta season and support our journey to the State Championships on Maui. Wallace Kazama was a respected entrepreneur, but his greatest treasure was family. Whether cheering at his children's games or fishing with loved ones, he found joy in every moment together. His son, Davin, writes, "Dad would be honored to support the mission of the Foundation, to perpetuate the life and legacy of Duke... Aloha, ʻohana, and ocean. All love, all the time.

An All-American swimmer at Yale, Dr. Allen B. Richardson channeled his athletic spirit into contributions to sports medicine. As Hawaii's first fellowship-trained sports medicine orthopaedist, he established the University of Hawaii's sports-medicine residency program, directed Olympic drug testing, and served as team physician for six Olympic swim teams. His friend, Dr. Thomas Kosasa, honored his legacy through a memorial gift to the Foundation.
